Abstract

This thesis mainly discussed the different tasks in the two stages of recovery after sports injury, that is, the stage of inflammation, stillness, and atrophy, and the stage of rehabilitation and increased activity of injured limbs. It analyzed the importance of nutrient supplements as an important influencing factor in anti-inflammation and total energy intake in the recovery from sports injury. On this basis, the thesis further expounded the significance of nutrient supplements on the recovery from sports injury and respectively analyzed the importance of macronutrients and micronutrient supplementation for sports injury recovery. It summarized the anti-inflammatory action of macronutrient fat (ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids), the reversal effect of protein supplementation on muscle loss, the importance of protein/carbohydrate supplementation to maintain energy balance, and the important role played by water supplements in hydration. The thesis analyzed the potential benefits of micronutrients on sports injury recovery from two aspects of the evidence of promoting healing and inflammation inhibition. It held the view that micronutrients played a role as an activator of the enzyme system in the body, resulting in the biochemical process. After this, the thesis further discussed the positive role of zinc, vitamin D, and calcium in recovery from sports injury. Finally, the thesis put forward the theory on the basis of practice that nutrients, plant minerals, and appropriate amounts of supplements could bring about a positive effect on rehabilitation treatment and remodelling of damaged tissues of sports injury.
