Application of Content Analysis Method in Food Safety Analysis Reports

Abstract

This paper discussed the application of content analysis method in food safety analysis reports.Food safety reports from Apr.1st 2009 to Jun.1st 2009 were selected.Several facts in food safety reports were investigated,such as the source of food safety reports,different kinds of food safety risks,information about the post-treatment on unqualified foods,the reasons of the unqualified foods,and description of unqualified foods.Based on the research,49% of the food safety reports came from food distributors.Food additives misuse was 26%.Among the selected reports,only 8% of reports gave the description on the degree of unqualified foods,and analyzed the reason;20% gave the information about the post-treatment on unqualified foods;and 87% provided data on the percentile of the qualify/unqualified food ratio.
