Aloe samples were prepared by microwave digestion.Microwave plasma torch atomic emission spectrometry(MPT-AES) was used to determine the content of calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc and lead.Comprehensive experimental parameters(including analytical wavelength, support gas flow rate, carrier gas flow rate and oxygen shield gas pressure) were obtained and optimized systematically.Under optimal conditions, the detection limit for Ca,Mg,Fe,Zn,Pb were 5.62 ng/mL,3.03 ng/mL,78.36 ng/mL,25.41 ng/mL,6 ng/mL respectively, the linear rang were 0.05-100 μg/mL,0.01-100 μg/mL,0.2-20 μg/mL,0.1-20 μμg/mL,0.02-10 μg/mL,espectively.All RSDs were less than 5.10%,and the recoveries of these elements were around 99.7%-102.5%.The determination results of microwave digestion were identical with those obtained with routine dry-ash method. The results showed that the method is simple, rapid, accurate and of great application value.
