Abstract

In recent years, with the development of the new food industry, people have higher requirements for food quality, and the research on new food raw materials has gradually become a new trend.This paper focuses on the review of the approval and application status of new food raw materials.With the help of literature retrieval platform CNKI, Wanfang, PubMed, and other official websites, relevant information was searched, and the search words are ‘new food raw materials’, ‘new resource food’, ‘Novel Food’, and so on were input.By expounding the definition and specific classification of new food raw materials, the change process of Chinese new food raw material management system and relevant laws and regulations are sorted to further understand the relevant requirements of the approval process and safety evaluation of new food raw materials.By consulting the literature, the possible active functions of some new food raw materials and their application in the food field are sorted.It is found that some new food raw materials have significant nutritional value and homology of medicine and food, and a series of new compound nutrition products have been developed by using the characteristics.Through the review of the approval status and application of new food raw materials, it provides a reference for the follow-up research of new food raw materials in China, promotes the development of new food raw materials and develops diversified products.
