Cover Article |Antibacterial mechanism against Listeria monocytogenes by antimicrobial peptide PNMGL2 from Lactiplantibacillus plantarum
Listeria monocytogenes is a common Gram-positive foodborne pathogen that can cause serious public health issues. Plantaricin PNMGL2, produced by Lactobacillus plantarum , has shown significant inhibitory effects against this foodborne pathogen; however, its antimicrobial mechanism remains unclear. This study preliminarily investigated the antibacterial mechanism of PNMGL2 against Listeria monocytogenes , providing a theoretical basis for the development and application of PNMGL2 as a novel food preservative.
